Cold Beer Banned in Attempt to Prevent Public Drinking
Cold Beer Banned in Attempt to Prevent Public Drinking
"Don't be surprised if it doesn't work out to the hopes of the Police Department," said Arlington Heights village trustee Joe Farwell. "The alcoholic isn't going to sit there and say, 'Well, I like my beer cold.'"
This is true.

DJ Seasunz
Well, its a tragedy. Really sad. In case you haven't heard:
I remember when I was in high-school this kidd was djing all the local parties. I also remember when we were kids in the Hammocks area we got into a scrap. My good friend at the time was a hell of a loose cannon with a hair trigger temper. Things escalated and my friend definitely showed the DJ and his crew of flunkies what time it was.
Since then I never really cared for him. Now, this happens.
I was still awake late last nite and saw a friend of mine post up a BOLO in reference to the victim. I wake up in the morn and that's when I heard of the news.
It's really sad. I will say this: No man should ever touch a woman in a disrespectful manner. Ever. Things build and they turn ugly really quick. This is one of those instances where things got really ugly.
My heart goes out to the victim's family and I hope justice is served sooner than later.

Miami 21 YES
Ok ok. Its not perfect but the intent I think is right on the money. Let's make Miami livable not just bearable. The ordinance was approved this afternoon 4-1 with Commissioner Regalado in dissent. The political undertones behind this are omnipresent-- Mayor Diaz's legacy at stake, the mayoral aspirations of Commissioners Regalado and Sanchez and the reputations of Commissioners Gonzalez and Spence-Jones. At the end of the day, I really do think this is a positive step into making Miami a great city on par with New York and Chicago and other international destinations. This city needs to be conducive to people living, working and playing here. The ordinance should come back to the Commission in late October just in time for the big November elections. I hope this passes and the newly seated officials possess the constitution to carry this thing through in the years to come. Crossing my fingers. For more detail:
